In the spring of 2014, students in History 2630: History of Modern Sexualities explored the regulation of sex and sexuality in modern America, with comparative emphasis given to jurisdictions globally.
Brieann Schmidt, a Sexuality Studies major, will be interning for sexual empowerment coach and sex educator Amy Jo Goddard this summer. Brieann has long admired Amy Jo Goddard's sex-positive approach and her work to help women and couples find confidence and acceptance in their own sexualities.
Daniel Rivers’ book, Radical Relations: Lesbian Mothers, Gay Fathers, and Their Children in the United States since World War II, has been named as a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award and has received the Ohio Academy of History 2014 book prize for a history book published by a junior scholar.
