Fifth-year Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies minor Kelsey Lowman was named Homecoming Royalty at the 2022 homecoming celebration on October 1. Lowman was part of an historic court that elected two women to the positions of Royalty, eschewing the titles of King and Queen. Lowman's inclusion on the court highlighted her vast service record at Ohio State including serving as Triota's treasurer during the 2021-2022 academic year.

Homecoming court members traditionally use their platform to raise money for student scholarships and other non-profit causes. During her acceptance interview, Lowman highlighted the importance of supporting the Abortion Fund of Ohio, "to ensure people are safe, healthy and have access to the comprehensive healthcare that they need."
