In an effort to aid trans students within Arts and Sciences, WGSS Master's alumnus ('13) and current WGSS staff member Jackson Stotlar has founded the Transgender and Allies Student Support Fund. The fund is broadly written to allow any trans identifying Arts and Sciences student or ally in need to apply for funds to aid with challenges ranging from costs associated with legal name changes to emergency assistance on housing. As to why he started the fund, Jackson shared that, "as a trans man, I'm very aware of the unique financial burdens on trans folks, especially our trans students. Hopefully this will make it just a little bit easier for them to tackle the additional hurdles we face in this day and age."

The fund will be administered by the Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies and will be accepting applications for disbursement in Autumn 2022.
