Zachary Harvat is a PhD student in English with a Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in sexuality studies. Broadly, he specializes in 20th/21st century American literature and queer theory, with specific areas of interest in LGBTQ literature, popular culture, and video games. His work explores intersections between violence, desire, and affect in queer cultural production. He has presented work on literature, film, music, and video games from a queer perspective at various regional and national conferences. He received his BA in English and women's and gender studies from The University of Tulsa and his MA in English from The Ohio State University.
