The Sexuality Studies program is able to offer, solely through the generosity of private donors, the yearly Barbara and Si Sokol Scholarship in Sexuality Studies competition. This year, two $500 awards will be granted to selected undergraduate students enrolled in the Sexuality Studies Minor and Major programs.
Students apply by completing the online application form and attaching an essay (of between 500 and 1,000 words) that explores how “difference” has had a positive effect on their lives, how this difference and their personal experiences with sexual and gender identity have influenced their decisions to work for positive change in society, and how their experiences with the challenges of difference have affected (and are affected by) their reasons for pursuing a minor or major in Sexuality Studies.
Deadline for Spring 2018 Competition: Extended to April 6, 2018
Please complete the online application and attach your essay by Friday, April 6, 5:00 p.m.
