Serena Kaul Wins the 2019 Barbara and Si Sokol Scholarship

The OSU Sexuality Studies Program and Humanities Institute congratulate Serena Kaul, winner of the Spring 2019 Barbara and Si Sokol Scholarship in Sexuality Studies! Serena is a third-year undergraduate student from Cincinnati, Ohio, majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Sexuality Studies and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Throughout college, she has developed a passion for working towards progress in women’s rights, particularly in regards to preventing violence against women. She will be applying to medical school and hopes to improve the field of Women’s Health. As a physician, her goal will be to promote intersectional advocacy in healthcare.  

The Sexuality Studies program is able to offer, solely through the generosity of private donors, the annual Barbara and Si Sokol Scholarship in Sexuality Studies competition that is open exclusively to students enrolled in the Sexuality Studies Major and Minor programs.
