She teaches a variety of courses including Sports Law, Race and Gender in Sport, and Sexuality and Sport. Her first book,
Female Gladiators: Gender, Law, and Contact Sport in America, explores how school-aged girls used the law to gain access to contact sport and the social backlash they faced, explaining why girls in baseball and football today are still relatively rare. Her second book project considers the privacy and publicity rights of the celebrity athlete, exploring such questions as what rights to privacy does a celebrity athlete have and when is the celebrity athlete's sexuality a matter of public interest and when is it a private fact.
