Associate Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education and Human Ecology
Amy Bonomi is an Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Science. Her research and teaching focus on the antecedents and consequences of intimate partner violence, sexual violence and child abuse, understanding how people interpret situations (e.g., violence victimization, sexual issues) through the use of hermeneutic and morally-based frameworks, and reducing health disparities for disenfranchised individuals who are the victims of violence through ecologically-based interventions. She is currently conducting a study to examine the relationship between romantic attachment styles, alcohol use and conflict resolution strategies in couples.
